Vanessa Williams was a beauty queen, now a singer/actress. But I bet there is one thing you didn’t know about her. Vanessa Williams has type 1 diabetes.

Since being diagnosed Vanessa and her family have donated to help find a cure and bring attention to its affects particularly on the black community. Instead of sitting back and letting her diabetes take over her life she has pushed hard for her career and lifestyle and refused to let diabetes stand in her way.
