The Pumpkin Patch

I am not sure if you all remember me telling you a few months back that I am in fact an official aunt. I love my niece and of course am borderline obsessed with her and all her red haired glory.  So, naturally any big event possible I try to be there. My sister decided to take our dear Daphne to a pumpkin patch closer to my parents this year, to let them be apart of some of her first Halloween experiences. As you can see they were enjoying it every bit as much as our dear Daphne.

Me on the other hand decided to take in my favorite part of this holiday, THE PUMPKINS! I love shopping for pumpkins. I want to take all of them home, however, I cannot and that's okay because I really couldn't afford it anyways. But I grabbed my wagon and meticulously picked out my favorites.

My sister was just as excited as I was to be with our parents at a pumpkin patch, but I think she was having more fun sharing the moment with her daughter rather than turning into a gigantic child like myself.

What I love the most about this pumpkin patch is the fact that you can go wine tasting and walk around their crops. They had everything you can think of for this time of year, Kale, spinach, pumpkins (of course), tomatoes, peppers, and much much more. I could easily geek out for an entire day going through their garden.

A little garden selfie! Please don't judge, I couldn't resist!

This place has everything! When I walked by and noticed the bar my eyes immediately skimmed their refrigerator to see if they had anything in case I ended up having low blood sugars. I am usually always prepared for a low, but for some reason I always like to double check that there is a back up no matter where I am at. And they did! The Fridge was stocked with sugary soda and helped my mind be at ease.

How can I not be in love with this sweet little girl! She was having as much fun as I was at the pumpkin patch!

These were my picks, which were really unusual for me because normally I buy up all the unusual pumpkins. This year however, I was really into the smaller plain orange ones because they seemed to have the best stems and because they would be easier to transition into my Thanksgiving decor later.

We had the best time at the pumpkin patch. Diabetes only crossed my mind once or twice, but couldn't keep me away from having a total blast! Happy Halloween everyone!
